Today i am back again with one of my current favourite beauty brand, “Sivanna colors”, which has a variety of makeup and beauty products ranging from face to skincare, to beauty and make-up. It is quite affordable and has a lot of dupes for various high end brands. The make-up product i have today is one of their famous eyeshadow palette from the”The Artiste Collection” range. It is a 12 pan palette which consists of seven mattes, and five shimmer eyeshadows all in one.
So Let’s start with the review 🙂
Sivanna Eye Shadow Palette Review and Swatches
Price: Available for Rs. 600/- on amazon.in
It comes in a simple black glossy plastic case with a transparent plastic window on the front so that you can see all of the shadows inside. The shade and the brand name is written on the bottom where as the back have the ingredient list written on it. The case is quite sturdy and comes with a thin applicator brush inside. The only downside is, it does not comes with an inside mirror which makes it a little less travel friendly and not easy to use. Nevertheless, the packaging is attractive, lightweight and gives a sleek-luxury look to the palette.
Texture and Pigmentation:
There are 7 matte shades and 5 shimmery shades in total in this eye shadow palette. The texture of these eyeshadows is creamy and the pigmentation is pretty good. The formula looks buttery for some of the shades, for some it feels little chalky and soft. Some of these are highly pigmented, some are not and few mattes are just not good as others. There are two matte browns which are similar ( i know :/ put some silver instead of two same browns) but work great as crease colors. The six matte shades are beautiful for the base and blend beautifully on the lid. The shimmer ones look great on the crease, top lid and blend together beautifully. Two of the glittery ones show a little fallout but as they have a creamy formula and are so easy to blend, I have no complaints. All the shades swatch great and look beautiful on the eyes. The color pay off is good and lasts for good 6-7 hours with primer and a minimal creasing on the lids.
I really like this eyeshadow palette. It definetely has some gorgeous go to shades for creating smokey and metallic eyes. There are some beautiful mattes and some gorgeous shimmery colors. The matte shades are well pigmented and work very well for any base, transition or crease color. I mean what more you can ask for if, it has matte peach, beige, brown and black all in one palette. The formula and the color pay off is awesome despite a few shades which could have been a bit more pigmented. The matte shades are extremely buttery and gives a nice base to the makeup. Where as the shimmer ones are quite pigmented and really tops the list for their easy blending ability. One or two shades appear to be a little soft and may show a little fallout, but anyways totally worth for the beautiful color pay off they provide on the lids. I’ve found myself reaching for this palette specifically to use those shimmery shades on my crease or on my lids more often. They actually create a beautiful look all on their own and are perfect for metallic or smokey eyes makeup look. I love the rose gold shade for the inner corner or some brow bone highlighting 🙂
Overall this palette is a worth buy with great quality in such affordable price. There’s a good mix of light and dark shades as well as a good range of matte, metallics & shimmer. I’m really loving this palette and totally recommend it if you’re looking for some great, affordable eye shadow palette with a mix of matte and shimmer shades in one. The fact that it is so affordable in price and easily available online, makes a worth buy for me 🙂 Do give it a try!
