Today I am going to review One of the Iconic Blush, Bronze and Brighten Palette in the shade Rave from the brand Make-Up Revolution London.
Make-up Revolution is a well known super affordable make up brand from London known for their excellent eye and face palettes. I have reviewed some of their lipsticks before which you can read here! It has a vast range of make up products which are high end in quality and are very much affordable in price. Whether you’re looking for a blush palette, a contour or highlight palette, or something that has all these together in one, Make-up Revolution will have it all. There is no such product from this brand which i don’t like it yet.
So let’s get stared with the review 🙂
Makeup Revolution Blush, Bronze & Brighten Palette – Rave:
Makeup Revolution Blush, Bronze & Brighten Palette comes in four shades in the name of Golden Hot, Smoulder, Rave and Flush respectively. Each one has a bronzer, blusher and a highlighter for varying skin tones. There are obvious comparisons of these palettes with the Sleek and Urban Decay palettes but as I own neither of them, I am not going to draw any similarities.
So there are four palettes in this collection. And I decided upon Rave, which I thought suits my medium to fair skin tone the best and would be great for the Spring and Summer months. Although I find Flush and Rave to be very similar to each other in terms of the shade color. Only Rave’s highlight shade is a touch more golden than the Flush.
Packaging: The palette comes in a sturdy, sleek plastic packaging in the color Black, safely secured in a strong black paper cover outside. Both outer cover and the palette have the product name and description mentioned on top as well as at the back. The list of ingredients however is mentioned only on the paper cover. The highlight of the packaging is the full length mirror which comes attached on to the inner top of the palette.
Full marks in term of packaging 🙂
Formula and Pigmentation:
The formulation of this palette is really good. They’re super pigmented, blend very well and last quite a long time. They have a silky smooth texture, so application and blending is very easy and simple. As the pigmentation is on the higher side, You just need a light hand and you are done.
The bronzer is a perfect shade for a light contour on my face and does great job on warming up my skin. Might not work well with duskier skin tones as the bronzer shade is not that strong enough but if you are a medium to fair skin tone like me, this shade belongs to you.
The Blusher is a rosy pink shade which looks more dark on the cheeks than in the palette, so a light hand swirl is just enough. Gives a fresh rosy glow to the face.
Now coming up to the Highlighter! Its is my favorite in this palette. Its a warm champagne color highlighter which will suit all major skin tones perfectly. I love the way it highlights and illuminates my medium to fair skin tone and gives a subtle glow on to my face without making it super shiny.
The color pay off is really good and stays on for good 5-6 hours on my oily to combination skin.
Overall, I think this is a perfect make-up palette for everyday use. I love the idea of having a bronzer, blusher and highlighter all in one palette so i don’t need to hunt out for each in particular when i am in hurry or running out of time and need to be as quick as possible. They also come in very handy and are great for travelling. I also love that how these palettes are so compact, slim and light weight that they fit perfectly in your make-up case or in your make-up bag without any issue. And the fact that they all come with a large mirror on the inner top makes me love them more 🙂 I also noticed that how well this product is picked up with a brush with just a little fallout. As the texture is silky-smooth they blend just perfect with a very little effort. And as for the price point, its an excellent palette for everybody. A must have in your make-up bag!
I highly recommend it to you all 🙂
