|Make-up tips for summer|
As the summers are here with the scorching heat outside, its not just my wardrobe which longs for a change but also my make up !
The want for lighter products becomes real. The heat not only makes the skin sweat more, but it also makes it produce more oil.
I go on a lookout for the summer make up which not only comes light on my skin but also does not melt away after going out in the sun and humidity.
Though my place is not as humid as the other cities i have lived in before, but still i need to follow a summer make up regime which does not feel weighed down on my skin as well as does not make it look shiny and cakey, through out the day.
So, for prepping my skin differently during the summer to fight that excess oil and beat that heat, i need to watch out what i apply and what i don’t.
lets talk about few makeup tips for summer, which we all can try to keep our make up look fresh and pretty, even when the weather is working against us !
Clean your face
Clean your face with a good facial oil free/normal cleanser depending on your skin type.
Moisturize it right
Use a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen, it keeps your complexion hydrated and skin protected from the harsh summer rays.
Skip liquid and cream foundations in the summer, and instead use a very light mineral foundation with an SPF. Blend it well to regulate your skin tone.
Eyeshadow And Mascara.
Waterproof eyeliners and mascaras stay in place on steamy days. Use a natural color around your eyes if you choose to wear any shadow, and do not apply it above your crease at all.
To prevent them from running down your cheeks, be sure to swipe and line only the top lashes and eyelids—not the bottom ones.
Apply bronzer or blush.
Everyone looks better with a little warmth added to their skin but looking fresh and natural is the key. Very lightly apply bronzer where the sun naturally hits you : forehead, cheekbones, chin, and nose., or blush on the apples of your cheeks, nose, chin and your hairline.
For a pretty flush on fair skin, pick light pink or peach hues. Apricot or rose loos great on medium, and plum or coral looks lovely on dark complexions.
Add lip gloss
Since rich and deep colors often feel heavy on the face, once the weather warms up, opt for some light, natural and sheer colours for your lips. Apply a lip balm with an SPF to protect them and Vitamin E for nourishing. then top it off with a clear, nude, light pink, or peach-orange gloss. Natural colors are key here. Add a little shine, but don’t worry about adding color.
Control the Shine
A better bet for touching up your make up, keep those powder free tissue paper handy. Use whenever you feel sweaty, cakey or oily on the face.
And don’t forget to stay refreshed by drinking lots of water, coconut water, fruit juices, buttermilk, iced teas or anything of your choice to beat the heat ! (more about skincare)
